This is SPAM and the reason that you are getting this is because you installed an app and this was loaded with it. The notification will continue to show up in your notification bar from time to time and there is no app that you can uninstall to remove it. Luckily there is a utility called AirPush Detector from the Android Market that will not only identify what app is causing the SPAM but will let you uninstall it.
Also if I were using an Android device I would definitely consider installing an AV suite. I've heard that the Kaspersky one is pretty sweet. Details below:

I downloaded a free QR reader and had the green cross show up almost immediately. I uninstalled it 4 days ago and have not seen my daily dose of green cross since then.
ReplyDeleteDownloaded AirPush Detector, and it found two apps that were found pushing spam. Tunee Music and Amazing Tattoo Ideas. We will see if that annoying green cross/plus sign pops up daily. I would think that Google would be more kline to monitor apps on their market. I understand it is a open source programming; which is great for android user, but there is always going to be malicious programmers trying to get inside your device or spam your device for more income. It should be illegal and band from Google Play Store.
